Journey to Overcoming Fear–day1

February 3, 2017 | By admin | Filed in: Philosophy and Methodology, What are the fun things we do?.

Today is February 3, 2017, I made a decision.Tracking my fear.

Let me first record what are in the news today:
1) some top Chicago gang members are contacting Trump to find a way to curb violence in Chicago;
2) Paris just had a terrorist attack at The LOUVRE;
3) Dow is around 20053 again, up 168;
4) President Trump has signed 19 executive orders;
5) Some politicians are calling for violent resistance;

So there are a lot of expressed fears. All projections of our fearful thoughts.
I close my eyes, searching for my own fearful thoughts. There are plenty.
1) I am wasting time not working; 2) who am I writing a blog like this? Am I good enough? 3) what is going to happen to my job? 4) Why I need to drive back and forth for work? 5) I don’t want to go grocery shopping; 6) I am tired; 7) I am afraid to going to the party tomorrow, those are all strangers; 8) How will I look like tomorrow, will it be an embarrassing scene?
Dear Holy Spirit, please take the above thoughts away from me, and undo any effects they have.

A persisting question hovers constantly: how could an all-powerful, all-loving God allow evil to exist? Why are there miseries, disasters, wars, earthquakes, catastrophes and bad people? It is not just me asking this question. There are also a lot of people seem to have answers. For example.
